Like so many people, a friend of mine has been sent to work from home. This is great, but the problem is she suffers from back problems and although her work let her take her work chair home, they have not supplied her with a desk. Having no suitable table at home she was struggling to get comfortable and not antagonise her back. As I am currently being furloughed from my work as a joiner I thought we could help each other out. With found timber (an old door and some construction 2x4) I knocked her up a desk that was tall enough to pull her chair right underneath, had enough space to work on and fitted neatly in her flat. So cutting to the chase, the table was built in a day and delivered (with minimal social contact) the following day. Now she can work comfortably and I have had some practice building furniture. Everybody's happy!
