5 GoodGymers made their way 1.6km to help the Westbury Banks Nature Reserve in Haringey.

5 Goodgymmers proved that they ain't afraid of the dark by running to a rather ill-lit Westbury Banks Nature Reserve for a bit of hardcore forking and weeding in the dark.
POND CREATURE
Our main task of the evening was meant to be elsewhere but after a late cancellation, our Goodgymmers ran towards the Westbury Banks Nature Reserve instead where an evening of accessible pathway maintenance awaited us.
Although it was fairly dark at the Reserve, our goodgymmers armed themselves with head torches, gloves, and forks and got on with the job at hand without any complaints.
We pulled up weed and sycamore shoots to our heart's content but saved all the bluebells because bluebells rock innit. We spotted centipedes, spiders, and jelly-eared mushrooms before we were satisfied that the path had been well looked after.
Before we left, we mucked about by the pond where both Dave and Julie were suddenly possessed by some weird pond-dwelling demons and they set off into the night to guttural chants of pond creature. Perhaps we should be a little bit scare of the dark after all!
Join us next week for more fun and games for another double tasker on Wednesday!

Aha... That was the voice note transcript. I couldn't work it out after several attempts at listening to it.
