When faced with a forecast of non-stop rain even the most hardy Goodgymers could be forgiven for questioning their life choices, at least for a moment. The rain was relentless as SJ and I met outside Mrs S’s.

But we were not to be deterred, like all good storm troopers, we donned our waterproofs and prepared ourselves for a soggy gardening session. It might be pushing it to say we took to the task like duck’s to water but we did quack on in tandem as soon as Mrs S had briefed us.

SJ tended to a bush with spiky branches which needed pruning right back to the root while I trimmed back two smaller bushes and some of the longer grass. Four bags full and we were done and ready to head home to dry off. Hopefully it will be dry for the second mission so the strimmer can be put to good use.
