Report written by Helen Conner (she/her)
So much fun was had by Mark and Dora at the colour run event. Over 150 children took part in the colour run at Brickfields park in Bath. They were being sponsored by friends and family to raise vital funds for a local school's playground.
Armed with cups full of coloured flour; Dora and Mark had one job....to cover the children in coloured flour! Aiming low so as to avoid faces, they painted the children as they ran past. And if they missed, Mark especially felt it particularly important to ensure that the child was covered in flour so charged down the field to catch them :)
The team succeeded and also looked like they took part in the event themselves and are still trying to clean themselves down :)
Here is what Combe down primary had to say; "Thank you so much for joining the marshalling team at the children's colour run on behalf of Combe down primary. Here is what they had to say; Thank you so much to all the kind and fun volunteers who helped make the colour run such a success on Sunday. It was truly appreciated and as my son said it was colourfuntastic. You have helped us enormously towards our goals of building a new accessible playground. Thank you again so much”
The Parent-Teacher Association, or PTA, is a voluntary organisation and charity whose primary role is to help raise additional funds that directly benefit our children, support the school and develop relationships between staff, parents and the local community.
