For my final week as Run Leader (for now...!) the Red T-shirts were abandoned in favour of guessing whether I am sporting team pink or team blue. Who knew so many teams had pink kit?! From Spain to Ireland Team pink seemed to win the clothing vote on the night, despite team blue seeming to win the earlier WhatsApp vote. Kudos to Will and Ruth who definitely won the best sports shirts competition!
This week saw 15 of us take on a rather pacey 4km run back to Ray's Playhouse in Fulham. The lovely team there spoilt us rotten with drinks and melon on arrival! Then we got down to work - varnishing benches, large raised bed planters, painting poles and weeding the fake grass (yes, it needed it!). A focused 45 mins of work saw us finish the list of jobs with time to spare :)
After a light sprinkling of rain to cool us down we jogged the 4kms back to base. After a quick stretch, we headed over to Bill's for a scrummy fairwell dinner where I was spoilt rotten with lovely pressies and baby sitting vouchers which will be used (and possibly photocopied - thanks Charlie ;) !) very shortly!
Thanks everyone for a fantastic 9 months (I can't believe it's been that long already!) - you have been a pleasure to run with every week - you truly are the friendliest running group I've run with! I will be back (I've discovered a talent for back marking these past few weeks!) and we may well be adding in the 'upper body buggy pushing workout' to group runs soon ;)
Keep running! Anna xx
