Tracey and I walked in the rain and the cold wind to the amazing warmth of Derbyshire Refugee Solidarity. We had a good chat with the admirable refugees and volunteers, watched DRS on the ITV news, then Tracey helped with an English lesson, while my English lesson was a gardening one too! After this we met some of our refugee friends for more of a chat, and were delighted that one of them was Mangar from Tuesday's group run. Many of them had helped at the Derby 10k on Sunday. What a great team! We walked to Darley Abbey to see the bridge on our way home.
DRS are part of a grassroots movement working to provide aid and support to refugees. Starting in August 2015, in response to the ever increasing refugee crisis
