The apple doesn't fall far from its tree
8 GoodGymers made their way 2.2km to help their local community in Barnet.
- Tuesday, 27th of September 2022
- Led by Richard
8 GoodGym runners met at the Phoenix cinema on Tuesday evening to do good and get fit. This time we were helping to reduce the food waste and the task owner Daniela to donate the braeburn apples. After a short run we met with Daniela who were kindly waiting for us on the pavement to make sure we find the address. She led the way through her garden to the orchard. Oh gosh what a little hidden gem π it was behind the Barnet streets. We picked apples π from the trees π΄ by hand and fruit pickers. This time of the year gets dark sooner but this did not hold us back to do some fruit picking with head torches π¦π¦π¦ and have fun in the dark.
At the end of the group run we took some apple to home to bake apple pie or something yummy π.

Fantastic evening out. Thanks for organising Richard!
I canβt wait to try some apple pie!
Paul worked the most on this group run to make this happen. I am glad you enjoyed as much as me. It was good fun.
