Mrs G's last shop demonstrated her expert ability to plan her list to a budget and whilst this week she initially apologised for a slightly longer list with a few minor tweaks, she hoped that the £30 would be enough.

Lidl was unusually busy with the long queue to pay stretching beyond the freezer section (...), but the shelves had everything that Mrs G wanted, including the spray can of cream (next to the milk...thank you to the kind assistant who pointed me in the right direction for this).

Armed with a mighty collection of reusable bags and once I'd made it to a cash checkout, I soon had everything scanned and bagged and was delighted to discover that Mrs G had done it yet again with her budgeting - the 58p above could be classed as a rounding error!
