Tonight I met up with the awesome James and Stefania to perform a quick mission after work for Mr F (side note, congrats again to Stefania for reaching the magic number of 50 good deeds last night on a group run! Awesome stuff! 😄🎉)

Mr F is currently in hospital and is hoping to be released home to his wife by the end of the week. For this to happen, some furniture needed to be moved in his flat to make space for more specialist equipment to be brought in.

Before our arrival, we'd been emailed a list of things to be moved. This list was pretty long, and I'd hoped that it was one of those things that would take longer to read and comprehend than to actually do. Luckily, we were also told in advance that Mrs F and Mr F's daughter would be on hand in case we got stuck, and there were also rumours of wide doorways: those people at GoodGym Central really know what to say to make us happy! 😄

In the end, Mrs F's daughter had already done a lot of the moving, and the only thing we had to do was to exchange a double divan bed in one room with a king-sized divan bed in another room. Simple!

The only sticky moment (because there's always at least one) happened when we tried to move the king-sized bed and realised that there were a couple of drawers in the base that we'd forgotten to check for. Removing the drawers probably took longer than the time we actually spent moving the king-sized bed to the other room, while putting the drawers back in probably took longer than all of the other operations combined... 🤦 (For some reason, one of the drawers wouldn't close properly, sitting a little high on its rails until James found some magic way of making things click (very literally)).

The end of our task drawing near (or nigh, if you prefer), James struck a victory pose (💪) and we chatted with Mrs F and her daughter for a few minutes before making our goodbyes. I will neither confirm nor deny whether or not James was in full victory pose for the chat. A nice, 15 minute task that hopefully means that Mr F will soon be resting comfortably at home! ☺️

Yep, we all love rumours of wide doorways - it's a tough choice between those and 'items of furniture which break down into smaller parts'. Sounds like you did an amazing job, well done!
