Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Lucy Hill
Ben & I met at 5 o’clock on Tuesday afternoon as the sun was setting in the Chiswick sky (there was some excitement for it to not be pitch black at this time).
Ready and masked up, we were met by Mr J’s wife Mrs M and her son A. Our task at ask was to move some furniture round in their front room to make space for a hospital bed and other bits of equipment so that Mr J could come home safely, having been unwell in hospital.
Mr J and Mrs M had a beautiful house, and were blessed with plenty of space in their front room. After a recce to work out where things were going, we moved a table upstairs out of the way (with the help of A), before returning downstairs to an unimpressed looking Bluebell.
Bluebell is the cat of the house, and the front room is normally her realm, so she was eyeing up the two strangers in her bedroom suspiciously. She got over it pretty quickly, and we were soon distracted by tummy rubs and ear tickles. With the cat on our side, we finished the job we actually came to complete!
The Siamese twin sofas fit perfectly underneath the windows, and the armchair and smaller tables were readjusted around so there was plenty of room for the new furniture, and plenty of room for Bluebell.
With the mission complete, we had a nice little chat with Mrs M, and Ben gave Bluebell lots of attention whilst she explored the newfound space. Job done, we said our goodbyes - cat-ch ya later!
