Gwyn and Tracey cycled to Derby Women's Centre to help out with clearing their garden. They bagged piles of rubbish including treasures such as a roll of wallpaper, a 2013 desk diary, some old computer monitors, a bag of solidified cement with an embedded mug and six bags of plant-based waste.

The Women's Centre has provided support for women for over forty years, and has also helped men who have been victims of domestic violence. They hold regular coffee mornings, exercise sessions and a knit and natter group. They have ambitions for the outdoor area to be an oasis of calm in a busy city.

Connecting Lives
Supporting women through loneliness and isolation.

We are a charity based organisation founded in 1978. Our charity supports women to lead independent lives. This is done through a range of services that include counselling, support groups, courses and workshops We have just started a new project called Connecting Lives, the aim of this project is to locate and support women who have become isolated or who are feeling lonely due to a number of reasons, e.g. domestic violence, mental health, cultural or language barriers etc. We have several workshops running throughout our centre which include exercise, reflexology and coffee mornings and continue to add a range of services which helps to improve and support physical and mental well being, boosting confidence, facilitating self-development, reducing poverty and inequalities.
