This morning I cycled to see Mrs D, who loves her GoodGym social visits. She was a little bit disappointed with her last visit to the hospital when she went to see the doctor. She's now being sent to another hospital, and that takes yet more waiting and more organizing... Still, she's hopeful she'll have a result eventually. In the meantime, she's been telling me more stories from her past. She's recalled the days when she was a child and they had chickens in the back garden. Everyone had chickens if they could afford it and had the space; it was a good source of fresh eggs. It was her job to collect the eggs, however much she insisted to her elder brother that it wasn't fair and they should take turns. She loved the chickens, the only trouble was the cockerel!!... He took his job far too seriously in guarding the eggs and would attack her. So much so that young D had to resort to a broom to protect herself. Loved her story, I can picture her with the broom fighting the evil cockerel! ๐Ÿ“๐Ÿงน๐Ÿ˜‚

Another great story! You and Mrs D should write a book. Xxx
