Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
On Saturday, six runners returned to the wonderful community garden at St Peter's North Community Centre. Upon arrival, the lovely Mr K showed us a time lapse video of GoodGym's previous visit, a hundred bags of compost being neatly arranged in 30 seconds! The task for this visit was to turn over the topsoil and rake in enough compost to make the garden suitable for planting, ahead of the Spring gardening sessions. With the help of Mr K and his family, we started weeding, digging, turning, lifting, raking and sweeping. A huge bag of soil also had to be moved off one of the flowerbeds and the spare bags of compost were stacked against the wall. After a couple of hours of hard work, we got a very nice surprise when the lovely folk at the centre gave us some delicious food. We were also able to admire our work through another great time lapse video, which made it all look very easy.
