Today Molly the dog and I unearthed shards, in fact three shards, some of the missing pieces of a discarded, broken pot that I had found last week and spent ages gluing back together. Sadly the pot is not some missing Arts and Crafts masterpiece but is a type of Mexican majolica called Talevera, completely worthless in it’s current state. I fear the lockdown is really getting to me and my frustration is embodied in this example of recycling taken too far.

In my defence, this ‘Talevera Treasure’ will have a home in Richmond GoodGym’s Three Pigeons Insect Hotel .

As well as lockdown-crazed extreme recycling, Molly and I also visited Old Deer Park where she was delighted to explore while I spent 15 minutes litter picking, filling four plastic bags. A much more efficient application of lockdown time.
