The fork that weeds you!
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Lewisham.
- Saturday, 23rd of December 2017
Being that the mission today was a gardening task we were lucky that the weather was on our side. I was patiently waiting for the lovely Monica who had actually passed me twice while I sat bewildered as to what she was doing. (Keeping warm apparently). Eventually we came together and went to the front door, where we were greeted by Mrs J's Daughter. With our festive cheer, on what was to be our last mission of the year we set about clearing the weeds in the front garden. I should now mention the small fact that we had to match the the good job done by another set on Good Gymers the previous week on the other side of the garden. Anyway, with the tools provided (which I can only say just about started the job before they simply gave way under the pressure of all the weeding) we carried on as we chatted away about Christmas plans. By the the time Monica and I had finished I'm quite sure Mrs J who had jetted off and was well on her way to another country for a holiday by now would be very pleased. Let's hope the weeds stay away at least until she returns. Monica and I l returned the now restored fork and other tools & wished each other a very merry Christmas and went on our merry way.
