One of the lovely things about repeat gardening visits is that you see results. I’ve done several visits to rescue Mr J’s apple tree from the evil clutches of the ivy - a year ago, it looked as though the tree wouldn’t last the winter, but now it is bearing fruit.

Alongside it was a large bed that I half cleared of perennial weeds, another session will be need next week.
