Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
A beautiful spring day, a great task and loads of Goodgymers was a pretty awesome combination for the latest GoodGym Bristol run.
Another new record turn out met at Roll for the Soul. After an introduction by Chris we headed over on mass for a warm up by the fountains and statues in the centre led by Pru, and then ran the short but really steep hill up to the top of Brandon Hill.
Brandon Hill was the location of the first ever GoodGym Bristol run and is a real oasis in the centre of the city, so it’s always great to return.
Thanks to our bumper turn out we got masses done. This week’s task was the next stage of the Alpine Garden. We split into groups to get the different elements done. One group unloaded over a tonne of compost, carried it in buckets to the garden and then dug it in, another group cleared another part of the garden, some more runners used pick axes to clear stumps and stubborn routes, and the final group chopped down some impressive sized trees! The transformation was incredible!
Once the task was complete Pru put us through our paces, with a couple of laps at the top of the park followed by press ups, tricep dips and then a game of agility where you’ve got to try and slap your opponents leg – much harder than it sounds!
We then cruised down the hill, had a good stretch and on to Roll for the Soul.
Great work everyone!
