Today I went to see Mrs D. She was relieved to hear that, given the cold and wet weather, I took the sensible option for a change, and drove instead of cycling. So our conversation was mainly about cars. She was delighted to hear that my car was blue, as blue is her favorite color. And her bicycle was blue too. And then she told me how she thought she was fit to be a good driver. In the old days, when they went to Butlin's with the kids, she got into one of those Machines and she managed to mow everything around her!!! I asked what the Machine was, but she didn't know the name. I am assuming it was a ride on Dodgem cars... Her husband said that, based on the abilities she displayed, she wasn't to get near his car!... Mrs D did ask him why he kept moving his feet when driving... How was she to know about those pedals anyway?!... Very funny, once again, Mrs D. Thank you! 😊
