My second mission with Dharmesh for the day was a casual 10 minute stroll down the road from the first mission! After such strenuous activity, we decided to recover with a quick pub visit before going to help Mr J (the beneficiary of this second mission).

Mr J currently spends most of his time in his downstairs living room in a hospital bed. He feels that his mobility has improved enough to be able to start sleeping upstairs in his own bedroom again. However, as it's been a while since he's used his bedroom, there was a load of dust and debris in the room that would negatively affect his asthma. This is where he called GoodGym in for help!

With this aim in mind, Dharmesh and I dusted, hoovered and generally cleaned out Mr J's bedroom. In doing so, we also collected up localised showers of pennies that were dotted around and placed them into a small vase on Mr J's desk. It made me wonder exactly how much good luck we're going to get today from picking up all those pennies and whether or not it's worth putting some down in my own home to artificially generate days of good luck! 🍀😄

After an hour or so of dusting, we had made pretty good inroads into the dust and so made our goodbyes to Mr J (although we think there's still some mighty dust mites around left to vanquish). Hopefully he'll find the room less likely to set off his asthma and so can enjoy his own home more ☺️

Well done both - not the most glamorous task, but being able to use his room again will be lovely for Mr J!
