Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Lucy Hill
I was off to get some shopping in for Mrs J again - it had been nearly three weeks since my last visit!
Her daughter V sent me this weeks list:
1) Daily Mail newspaper
2) prawn cocktail x1pot
3) Asda choc ices x1pack
4) fruit and/or chocolate mousse x1pack
5) Asda custard tarts x pack of 2
6) Mr Kipling French fancies x 1pack
7) tins of potatoes x2
8) 6 free range eggs
9) Walburtons medium sliced white bread x1 small
10) galaxy smooth milk chocolate x 6 bars
11) scratchy sponges for cleaning x1pack
And on Saturday morning I was waltzing around Asda. Having done shopping for Mrs J before several times, I knew eggsactly where everything was, and breaded up and down the aisles, choc-ing her groceries into the basket.
Everything paid for, I went round the corner to deliver the mail (and the rest of the shopping) to lovely Mrs J. As usual, she was as thankful as ever, and I couldn’t escape without a bar of chocolate. Mrs J was trying to give me one of the ones I had just got her - and after managing to convince her not to tart with her new galaxy, she insisted on me taking one of the bars already in the fridge. As hard as you try, it’s not easy to say no to a 90 year old waving chocolate in your face!
