Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Melanie Young (she/her)
England had just beaten Germany 2-0 in the Euro 2020 last 16 so we took the opportunity to learn some German from one of our Germanic GoodGym friends, Sara.
Tram stop becomes the very succinct Straßenbahnhaltestelle - always a favourite. And a Guinea Pig (named after the place, not the cash) is a Sea Pig. More to follow.
In task news, we weeded and painted and swept and chatted, all enjoying a lovely evening and being thankful that we can, and that the leaves keep falling and children keep playing on the apparatus therefore keeping us in a fortnightly Tuesday night job!
And Jenny had a lovely new ring that wasn’t allowed in any photos, so stayed covered up by her lovely new floral gardening gloves.
And Robyn met our Maria - the first time she’s met another American in Bristol.
And Caz joined us for the first time having left Camden and Islington for sunny Bristol at the weekend - and was at a GoodGym task within a couple of days 💪.
And four GoodGymmers ran together from Queen Square to the task (and back again afterwards) and Melanie spied them running up to a bridge and her heart gave a little leap with hopes for normality returning. Thanks Richard for leading the training session, and Julie, Laura and Maria running together as a group (not a training run) and Jason for cycling over.
Loveliness all round 😊
