Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Becs Clarke
For todays mission Nicky and Becki took advantage of the clear skies to help Ms A out by removing a single mattress and bed from her bedroom so that a hospital bed could be moved in.
Ms A was totally convinced that two girls would not be strong enough to move the bed, and it took some persuading for her to let us get started as she wanted us to wait around for the man to arrive to do the heavy moving. We soon persuaded her to put her feet up and have a coffee and watch the muscle magic begin ;)
We took the bed apart by removing the headboard and drawers then carried the parts out to the front of the building. This involved a little bit of untangling and manoeuvring work and revealed things under the bed that Ms A thought she had lost years ago!
When we had finished the task Ms A said she couldn't believe that we'd been strong enough to move everything, saying that we were 'the strongest women in Hackney' and challenging us to arm wrestle our boyfriends when we got home as she was sure we would win. Upon revealing that I did not have a boyfriend, Ms A said she could 'soon sort that out' and said she would ask if any of the nurses were married as she knew a 'lovely strong girl' in Hackney.
Thanks for the match making skills Ms A and lovely to meet kindred spirit Nicky!

Amazing run report - love hearing about the incredulity at what GoodGym runners achieve on these missions.
