Report written by Manjit Birk
Oh what a night.. late June back in 22! (Name that tune… though I’m sure I got the month wrong!)
It was a low task turnout session but that made litter difference to the amount of litter we managed to collect from Wexham Park Hospital.
With a few people needing to sign out today we did a quick change of meet up point and an earlier time in order to get an extra pair of hands from Super Sut!
By 6:30pm Jean and I were en route to Wexham where we met Sut who had half an hour spare to help out tonight.
Many hands make light work
You can certainly see how busy the hospital has been as there was litter litter-alley everywhere!
We had the usual suspects:-
Masks, masks and more masks;
Beer cans;
Costa coffee cups;
Crisp packets.
Then we had full fine dining (?) meals left in the bushes… clearly someone was in a hurry without their curry!
The oldest find was a beer can rusty and crusty with a BBE 2019 date!
All in all we collected 8 bags of rubbish with still so much left but alas we ran out of time. However we will be back! We are needed!
Thank you so much to Jean and Sut for coming along this evening.
Next week we are helping Slough Refugees with their garden space.
