As I was walking to Mrs J's for her weekly shop I passed a blue plaque commemorating the fact that a secret agent codenamed "The White Rabbit" had lived in a particular block - one only hopes the plaque appeared a long time after the gentleman stopped being a resident...

In many ways Mrs J (and this is in no way intended to infer anything) could have been an agent, for she is possibly the most organised and detailed person when it comes to her list. Every item is clearly described, with the weight and indication of price against it, and in the margin this week was a running total to ensure we stayed in budget. At the top Mrs J even said I could substitute anything, but you don't really want to do that when so much effort has gone into picking the first team.

(Even the helpful assistant in Waitrose was impressed when I showed him the list to ask him where I would find mixed seeds...and I would think he's seen a few neat and detailed lists in his time from the shoppers at this particular establishment.)

Back to Mrs Js, the usual drop off outside her front door and a brief exchange and kind thanks from her - I've never met Mrs J in person as we always carry out our discussions through a closed door...now that did get me thinking as I walked back down the corridor...

Entertaining as always Nick! And I'm sure that, unlike another White Rabbit, you weren't late! Well done!
