It was a soggy start to our group runs in Bournemouth...well, it actually stopped just in time for Daryl and I to get the run and good deed in for this week.

We met up at Boscombe Pier where GoodGym started to meet up when it first got started in Bournemouth. And then we did a bit of a stair workout to head back into town and St Peter's Church. Trying to take it easy as it was Daryl's first run since his Half Marathon PB last weekend. And he's got another one booked in in a couple of weeks!!

We ran amongst the pine trees on Manor drive to shield ourselves from the strong wind and after a nice easy jog arrived at the church and scouted out the areas Jane had mentioned that needed a little extra attention.

That area happened to be behind Mary Shelley's grave....

....the pandemic doesn't seem to have put a stop to some bad habits as we found countless drug paraphernalia scattered everywhere.

We also found some very trendy trainers...someone must have gotten cold feet....

....and for the foragers...we came across a massive mushroom....no, it wasn't magical!

After filling two bags and making sure Mary was ok we jogged back to the Pier chatting and it was a great feeling to be out jogging in the evening (my first time for at least a year!) and taking in the fresh air. We got home feeling much better for it.
