I remember visiting Mrs J in Avonmouth previously and it was a delight to return to help out in her garden once again.

Mrs J has been through a really tough time with the recent passing of her husband and a diagnosis of early onset Alzheimer’s and I recalled how Mrs J had told me that her garden was her sanctuary.

Sadly there are jobs that she is not able to manage herself and so we chatted about what would have the biggest impact for her.

It became clear that bringing some more colour to the garden would give her great pleasure and so we agreed that I would weed some of the borders and pots and then plant the large number of seeds and bulbs that she can watch grow.

Mrs J pottered, chatted and provided a much welcome mug of tea whilst I worked on the garden and within a couple of hours I was on my way again, satisfied that someone’s day was a little more joyful as a result of a GoodGym visit 🤗
