There were three with a bed and the little one said roll over
3 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Hackney.
- Sunday, 28th of January 2018
Three London Goodgymers met in Hackney on a Sunday morning to help prepare Mr A's flat for his return from hospital. He was getting a new bed and chair delivered, and needed some space clearing for the new furniture.
First, David, Tatyana and Eva had to move a large set of shelves which was blocking the path, finding a new home for the units in the living room. Next, they together dismantled his old bed - using some tools helpfully delivered by Mr A's grand daughter.
The trio then set to the heavy lifting, carrying the bed frame, mattress and a large sofa down the stairs to the front of the building. Using a lot of spacial awareness to navigate the twisting stairwell, and a bit of strength, they managed to transport all the furniture out for collection.
After an hour and a half of lifting and carrying, the house was clear, ready for the delivery of the new furniture so Mr A can move back in again.
