They're forking nets, I tell ya...
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Bristol.
- Saturday, 18th of November 2017
Lovely Mrs N explained that she would like to be able to grow some vegetables next year, so she needed our help to get the ground ready. Other Goodgymers had already made a brilliant dent with this.
We were provided with excellent tools and grabbed a fork each and set to work.
This mission's nemesis were the big, tough roots which didn't want to leave Mr and Mrs N. We managed to dig some huge ones out though, despite some being very stubborn and there been annoying nets in amongst the soil too. We were sure to save the worms from being stabbed.
After a lot of hard work, Mrs N insisted we call it a day and have a cuppa. Although there is still a lot to do - we can say it was a ground breaking mission!
Liam mentioned to me that he was a bit tired, I have no idea why - he's only completed a parkrun, Goodgym task, Goodgym mission and all the running in between. In total he ended up running 19 miles today! Fair play Liam!
We said goodbye for now to Mrs N and left just as the rain came down in buckets!
