Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
On a lovely summer evening 20 Goodgymers ran 7km and helped at Antrim Allotments Association.
Corrr I bloody love Wednesday's, it's the volunteering, the run, the sweat, the good and amazing people!
Welcome to the newbies Louisa and Becky whose first ever GoodGym was last night!
In the news this week:
After an active warm up, we headed to Antrim Allotments near Belsize Park to help with various tasks. We are plagued by traffic lights but challenged by a hill - a big hill! The task this was gardening but this time with a difference, many of allotment plot owners are elderly so cannot fully look after their areas enough - so we came to do the hard work!
Important work
We arrived to meet David, Piers and many more of the committee to explain what needed to be done; splitting into groups it's amazing what we can get done in 25 minutes!
We had the following amazing tasks:
Everyone did fantastically and was amazing to see the plot owners working alongside and the GoodGym Team.
Plot Owners + GGers = success
On the way back we split into two groups, with Steve leading a group along the canal and another group going the conventional route.
Question: Can you guess the wearers of these trainers - please comment below!
