This hedge tidying was a cut above the rest!
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Bristol.

Here's what Mr B of BS1 had to say about the mission:
Were so pleased with what they did. The ground was so hard but they did their best to clear the weeds and managed to fill two big bags of garden waste.
Mr B had a problem. Unable to tend to his garden, the bushes round the front had grown out of control. He needed someone to lend a helping hand. And thankfully, GoodGym was able to do just that!
Along come Alex, having just celebrated her fiftieth Parkrun, and Sarah, to save the day (after initially getting lost and ending up at the wrong address...). Immediately they went to work trimming away the various bushes, turning over the soil and even a touch of weeding in the tough ground. After roughly an hour the front garden was looking pretty neat, so Mr B invited them round the back to help tidy up some more hedges and clear away some dead plants.
As they worked, Alex and Sarah drank tea and water, respectively, ate biscuits and discussed everything from weekend plans to upcoming races. In almost no time at all the back garden was also neatly cleaned up, with Alex even managing to pull out a dead stem large enough to use as a weapon (not that we condone violence, obviously)! It was time to say goodbye to Mr B and his wife, and head home.
