Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Pritesh Mistry
TEN brilliant runners joined us for an intricate task for Willesden Green Town Team!
With time against us we quickly went through the intro, highlighting volunteers week and the social on Thursday, then went through health and safety and I outlined the task at hand:
Empty two large planters to the point we could transfer them out of a garden and on to streetside
Transfer a large number of plants to the station
We ran the rather short half a kilometre and then split the group. Tabitha took six off to ferrry plants and five of us stayed to work on the planter project.
Thanks to Valentina for a great effort digging a tree out and then helping to move this through the house and well done to Claire and Liz who patiently transferred loads of soil to get the planters to a point where we could lift them.
Tabitha took her merry band and kept everyone moving and working to get a large number of plants to the station.
We finally all regrouped to take the two planters and the tree to the station.
AMAZING JOB EVERYONE!
But... That was a lot of good... where's the gym?!
So we ran the short distance to Gladstone park and there embarked on a mini fitness session doing a minute of triceps dips and then a minute if planks. In that time we had a mini debate and can proudly proclaim that GG Brent's favourite dip is babaganoush and that we like to dip pitta bread!
Tabitha then led us on the run home and before we knew it we were stretched and either on our way home or in the pub!
Well done every one and sign up here for next week!
Cheers,
