Good Gymers Eloise and Ian carried out a worthwhile task in Croydon on Thursday morning, helping Mr W with his garden. Our task was to make it easier for him to access the garden and path safely as Mr W has a visual impairment.

Eloise began by tackling some particularly spiky bushes while Ian mowed the lawn. Neither of us had been on this type of Good Gym task for some time and it was good to get stuck in.

The more we delved into the overgrown grass and brambles we discovered large amounts of litter that had been discarded into the garden and we ended up filling 7 bin liners with rubbish and green waste!

We finished by cutting the last of the brambles, raking up grass and doing a bit of weeding on the path. There was a noticeable improvement to the garden and path areas and Mr W was very pleased.
