On a blustery Tuesday afternoon, 2 GoodGymmers made their way to Hackney to clear a path along the marshes.

Nature was taking back what has become an extremely busy cycle route. The large brambles were sticking out and obstructing the bend along the path. This meant that for not only Peter, but for hundreds of other cyclists, they would have to avoid dangers on both sides - the thick thorny bushes and falling into the River Lea (and of course avoiding crashing into each other).

With the use of some garden shears and secateurs, we cut back the bushes along the bend in the path. They were very thorny and despite wearing gloves, I somehow still managed to get pricked a few times (much to Peter's amusement!).

We then both headed to the Hackney Group Run for our second good deed in Hackney.
