Three's a crowd.
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Islington.
- Saturday, 10th of April 2021
On paper this task should have been pretty straightforward - dismantling and removal of a bed from Mrs J's room to the rubbish store outside - a classic GoodGym mission.
It was made slightly more challenging by Mrs J's insistence on trying to help throughout, and having this amazing ability to be standing in the wrong doorway just as we needed to move the various pieces of furniture.
However, once we'd located the bin store, and finally determined from Mrs J all the items that she really did want removing from her room, Jonathan and I were able to shift everything pretty quickly from the first floor to ground level and then, Indiana Jones style, plan a successful dash through the automatic/fast closing front door with all the bits of bed frame, headboard and chair in our hands - a brief and unexpected adrenaline rush on an otherwise overcast Saturday afternoon in Islington!
