Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Antonio (he/him)
On a sunny Sunday afternoon, four enthusiastic GoodGymers came together to lend a hand at the local food bank. So hands up to Laura, Emily, Rupesh. The mission for the day was to sort deliveries and manage two large food orders at the depot. With hearts full of kindness and puns at the ready, these GoodGym volunteers were determined to make a difference in their community.
As they rolled up their sleeves, they couldn't help but joke about "sorting supplies like a well-oiled machine!" The local post office's sorting depot would be proud of our efficiency.
The depot was bustling with food donations from generous individuals and local businesses, these took quite sometime to sort as they were a real mishmash. Amid laughter and camaraderie, we sorted vegetables, canned goods, pasta, and more - ensuring each item found its place in the right section.
What can I say? we were like a food bank symphony, working in harmony to stock the various baskets with the sorted supplies. It's was a truly shelfie-worthy performance!
Teamwork was the order of the day, as the GoodGym Sorting Squad marveled at their collective impact on the food bank's operations. I think we were a truly shiny example of the spirit of lending a hand to the community, so thanks everyone!
