Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Leo
Frances and I met at Mr R's at 1pm and we were greeted by not just one but two carers to let us in, of which one stuck around to help Mr R out with some physiotherapy.
We were tasked with decluttering his room, as it transpired he was due a delivery of a hospital bed potentially in the next few days so we got stuck straight in helping to break down a few empty cardboard boxes to be recycled.
It was mostly a clearing and relocating exercise as we tic tac-kled the key area needed to be emptied to make space for the new bed. Most of the stuff was rehoused in more appropriate places, whilst we collected a refuse sack of items no longer needed.
It's fair to say that Mr R has a penchant for tic tacs, and he had quite the collection of flavours which we were able to gather together and conveniently put in one place for easy access whenever it takes his fancy. All credit to Frances for the exceptional tic tac based pun, as well as the relocation strategy!
Mr R was on hand to cast a keen eye on proceedings, helping guide where we needed to put various items throughout our clearing and was able to explain what a few things were which had us bewildered including a very futuristic looking magnifying glass and a majestic sleep mask.
After a quick chat and photo outside, Frances set off for her GoodGym Lambeth Strava challenge run whilst I headed to nearby Clapham for a spot of much needed book shopping.
