Another successful litter picking session in Derby city centre. Tracey tracked our route and provided a map after the session and Naomi was our official photographer for the night. Ashley is keeping up with his SAS training and had a weighted backpack with him.

Huge thanks to Tracey who remembered the session took Ashley to 50 good deeds for GoodGym! Tracey bought along some teacakes to celebrate the occasion - well done Ashley and thanks for all your support. Let us know how the teacakes tasted!

The city centre seemed a bit busier than usual - maybe a sign that people have confidence in being out and about socialising a bit more as restrictions will soon be lifted. There was also a fair in town as it's half term. Good to see restaurants busier and to have some people thank us for litter picking. We found the usual cans, food packaging, bottles, cigarette ends and face masks. Items which we left in case the owners came back (you never know) were a walking stick, pair of glasses and a protein shake bottle.

We walked 4 km in just over 90 minutes and stuck to the city centre, avoiding areas near the river due to recent flooding. We managed to fit two of the bags of litter collected in a bin and left two more fuller bags next to the bin for collection.

Thanks to everyone for coming tonight.

I had a teacake after my dinner when I got in. It was lovely! Many thanks again Tracey for your amazing gift.
