Report written by Conroy
For the love of GoodGym, not even the rain could have stopped us, with rain drops falling on our heads we ran 2.8KM to ECCO. Not wanting to miss the last group run of the year despite being injured Ellie walked to the task. Not many people would choose gardening on a cold wet December night but not these 8 dedicated souls. We had Ingrid (46) and Ros (45) on litter picking.
Ellie (55), Ian (24), Nicola (26), Zara (33) and Stephanie (48) cutting and bagging the bushes from the garden.
Not that there is a competition or any thing but from the numbers next to each name you can see next year is going to be a year of celebration in Croydon, so many members of our group are nearing their 50th good deeds. With the January challenge all set in motion I wonder if Zara will be able to reach the big 50 before the end of January? Zara, yes I've called you out but I have a feeling you are more than up for the challenge.
I too have set myself a challenge for January as Juliet and Ellie are unable to run due to injuries, for every missions completed by them in January, I will be doing a 5K run. Wonder if they will try to break me? Should I be scared?
Juliet a massive thank you for all the help you have provided and setting up my tasks from August, you have built up a great network of local organisations who have welcomed me with open arms and I honestly cant thank you enough.
I have had a wonderful 5 months with the group and I am looking forward to next year, not wanting to 2018 out but, I honestly can't wait for our 2019 journey. At present there are at least 5 members of the GoodGym Croydon group signed up to the Vitality London 10, 000 and I cant wait to be at the start line with you all by my side flying the CR0 flag. (Sorry Lewisham do I still have an honorary badge?)
Remember we are on a break from GROUP RUNS but there are missions still going ahead. Have great festive break and see you all at the next group run on 8 January 2019.

Amazing stuff, guys! Going to be running more regularly with Southwark in the new year, but will try to pop along now and then - I'm doing Lloyd park parkrun on Christmas day if anyone's keen to join

Zara, we’ve got your back, we’ll be supporting you one good deed after another.
