Upon arriving at Mr T's this afternoon, he took me into the kitchen whereupon he removed last week's pack of bacon and pointed out that it had so much fat on it, it might as well be streaky! After we both agreed this was another form of Lidl induced "shrinkflation", I did accept the challenge of trying to ensure that this week's pack of bacon was a little less fat and a little more meat...

After a quick diversion to Tesco to pick up a few essentials, it was into the familiar blue trolley chaos of Lidl on a Friday afternoon to get the rest of his list. The mystery of the missing four packs of natural yoghurt persists, and I did rifle through quite a few packs of the bacon to try and ensure it met Mr T's standards.

By some miracle, a cash till became free as soon as I got to the front of the long queue, and it was soon back to Mr T's to discuss last week's crossword puzzle, and the clues he didn't solve..."Chestnuts preserved in sugar" (13) had him particularly stumped.
