When the lovely lady who had referred the community mission met us with a big cheery welcome it made the very sweaty journey to the task all worthwhile. Frances, Tessa, Selina and I made quick work of moving the sewing machines and cutting table to allow for social distancing procedures once the centre re opens.

Unfortunately we hit a slight issue when it came to moving around the under desk storage. Apparently it had been reordered by builders during lockdown and no matter what configuration we tried, the storage didn't seem to fit correctly. We came to the conclusion that it must of expanded in the heat! After 45 sweaty minutes we had got it into the best position possible and we were back out into the crazy London heat for a walk home. Hats off to anybody able to run in this weather.

Fingers crossed we can head back to the GLOW centre and figure it out when everything cools down!
