GGNewham and Arc in the park met for the first time this week. Paula from Community Links gave us a detailed breakdown of what they bring to the local community….all I can say is WOW!

Open play access, after school clubs galore, with a special emphasis on development for kids with disabilites and learning difficulties.

They have made a lot of changes with their operations over the past year, so we are happy to offer assistance wherever possible. (It also makes for a great 7.5k round trip run)

With all the heavy lifting of last week, we had a more therapeutic task at hand in the form of window cleaning. 3 panels up, left to right, inside and out. We managed to give all the glass within our reach a good bit of elbow grease. Whilst in the back of our minds wondering when we could test out the adventure playground…

the inner child within all of us was oozing out.

Time flew by and we got ready for our return: bus stop intervals were on the menu, each time we passed one we ran hard and with a good bit of technique for 10 beats. We broke into several groups as we powered through Plaistow High Street and West Ham Lane.

Nice work team, keep those legs moving and I’ll see you next week.

Kirsty

P.s in light of our cockney ATM conversation here’s the proof…Enter your Huckleberry Finn They really did exist.
