2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Windsor and Maidenhead.
- Sunday, 9th of January 2022
Georgeta and Sheila made a return visit to Mr A's garden. Georgeta set to work cutting back the second section of hedge, and finished it off beautifully with the hedge trimmer. The rest of the session was spent cutting all the trimmings from this and the previous session into small enough pieces to be put into bags ready to be put in the Green bins once they have been emptied. We were joined by Valerie from Neighbourhood Watch who kindly provided us with some delicious cake halfway through the session, and Mr A made us a cup of tea. Fully fortified, and with a lot of extra calories to work off, we set to work again filling bags with the trimmings. Valerie took 6 bags to the tip and we filled another 6 ready to go in the bins. After an extended stay, a final rake left the garden neat and tidy, and Mr A was delighted with the result. We were pleased to be able to help out

Excellent work Shiela and Georgeta! You've done an amazing job 👏
Wow, well done! Cake 100% deserved!
Great report and very rewarding session, thank you Sheila! Not to mention all the stuff we have recovered from the hedge, like a football, a few smaller balls, the base of a kettle, a plastic finger, beer bottles, a fork and other unidentified objects
You've made a huge difference!
