Roll A Coin was one of several retro-style fairground games at Discover Welling's stall at the Welling Community Day.

We were there for just an hour to give other volunteers a break for lunch.

With some good old-fashioned 'Come and give it a go!' encouragement as people walked by, we drew in the families and the adults alike. It was heartwarming to see everyone loving the traditional entertainment.

With the proceeds going towards things like planting for flowerbeds along the high street and lamp post poppies for Remembrance Day, every penny would help keep Welling a nicer place to live.

The time flew by and afterwards the I took the opportunity to explore the rest of the stalls and do a spot of promotion for GG Bexley. This included a my first ever go at tomahawk throwing with a local Scout group. Perhaps the less said about my attempts the better 🪓🪓🪓!

Let's just hope my marketing is more successful at hitting the mark 🎯 . It's always nice when new organisations ask for our help.
