Totally stacked it on my run tonight
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Wandsworth.
- Thursday, 25th of March 2021
Idura and I played a real life game of stacking chairs at Mr M's house tonight as we helped his carer to clear his bedroom ready for hospital discharge and store the items in the small room beyond the kitchen. This room was already pretty full before we arrived (mostly with books and files, in fact the whole home was bookshelved to the brim, a bibliophile's dream) and Mr M's carer needed some space to hang the washing, so the mattress, divan bed and 2 sets of drawers all needed to be balanced on top of the existing tables and chairs stored in there. Fortunately as we added more items, the ones below became more secure, and nothing was too heavy for us to heave onto the growing pile, so we were able to safely get everything into the room to the carer's satisfaction. Let's just hope nobody gets the game wrong and starts trying to Jenga.
