Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
On a cloudy Sunday morning, two slow but earnest runners went out to help Mrs S with her garden that needed general weeding and clean up.
The mission as it was stated: Mrs S cares for her son who is waiting for a kidney transplant. She has a small garden that needs some attention. We helped her out a few months ago and the garden needs another blitz. There is general weeding to be done and a small tree needs cutting back.
The two runners who decided to take on this challenge, Diya and Kanika, geared up and headed off in the direction of Mrs S. On arriving at the house, they were greeted by the lovely lady herself. Armed with latex gloves, shovel, wrench and broom, the duo Taz-deviled the place in no time. A spit and shine effort! They decided to salvage the small tree by propping it up with some twine – repurposed from the clearing out of an old and unused clothes drying rack.
Clearing out the garden took a measly 45 minutes after which the duo said goodbye to a very grateful Mrs S and started the run back home feeling happy inside and out. The impact of GoodGym had struck them again!
