It was great to see everyone out for tonight’s task, and what a sunny evening we had!

Tonight we were doing a double whammy with litter picks in both Tudor Grange Park and Brueton Park. Our first litter pick was over in no time after splitting into three teams and attacking the park from all angles - great team work everyone!

After finishing the task, we stopped at the outdoor gym to try out a few things. We had Jess showing us all how it’s done on the pull bars, Fiona demonstrating how not to run on the rolling runner(!) and Chris gracing us with his monkey bar swing.

After a bit of fun doing that, it was time for our actual fitness session - five minutes of hill sprints. This involves a hard sprint up the hill on your toes, turning round at the top for a recovery run back down, only to go again at the bottom of the hill. Chris led the way, shortly followed by Fiona, with Jess and Rachel pushing each other along. Once the five minutes had finished (at the bottom of the hill of course!) it meant we had to do one final hard push back up to the top! Everyone dug deep and really pushed themselves to get back up the hill.

Once everyone had recovered and caught their breaths back, it was time to jog onto our second litter pick of the night - this time in Brueton Park. After a quick photo in front of the ‘Prancing horse and man’ statue, it was time for a short run back to base and finish off with a stretch.

It was great to see everyone tonight, next week we’ll be back at The Courtyard for some gardening.

Look forward to seeing you there!

Rob
