Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
6 delightful runners braved heat humidity and wild beast to complete a 9k run to Horsenden Farm!!
We had a GoodGym newbie, Alex, with us for the first time, excellent job Alex! You made it look easy! And we also had a visit from the lovely GoodGym regular Danica, it was her first time on an Ealing run. Thanks for coming to visit us!
It all began at the udderly brilliant bodyline studios! The weather was udderly hot and we set off at a cow-mfortable slow pace as we had an important task ahead...we had to check on Horsenden Farm's new cows! Moo-ving into the run, we headed north and through Pitzhangar park and we were lucky enough to witness the sun beginning to set over the A40!
On arrival we were emerged straight into the nature and it was time for the mandatory 10 squats. Really you can never have too many squats in your life people!! Jon the Ranger kitted us out with some tools and we were off around the Gruffalo trail, cow-fully trimming the path and litter picking as we went! We checked that the trough was filling and finally what we had all been waiting for...the cattle! They were chilling out having an udderly great time. Danica suggested that we christen them all GoodGym 1-5!! An excellent name if you ask me. After a bit more litter picking around the beautiful nature reserve, we were finished before we knew it and said our goodbyes. Until next time GoodGym 1, 2,3 and 4 and 5!!
Then it was a nice jog back to bodyline studio, with the sun setting. Despite the heat everyone did a fantastic job and we came in at a pace of around 6 mins 30 seconds per km. It was another fun and fantastic evening with glorious people! I can't wait to see you all on the next one.
Finally, credit and big thanks to Emily for the pun 'udderly'!
