On a somewhat overcast autumn night, nine of Goodgym Redbridge's finest runners met to do a multitude of good deeds and ran 5km in process.

With a few runners returning from holidays and Chloe making her second appearance in two weeks (go Chloe!) a strong team assembled at Wanstead House to do good and make the place better for those using the facilities. With the group assembled it was time to finish painting the fence, chop back some of the undergrowth which had become a bit wild with all the rain and sweep away the leaves and pine needles that were covering the paths. As usual this was a cinch for the hard working team and with 40 minutes the place was spic and span and looking beautiful.

With the daylight fading fast, all that was left was a super fun run around the streets of Wanstead and Snaresbrook, checking out our handiwork in the high street and keep our eyes peeled for other parts of the town that would benefit from an injection of Goodgym love.

Want to get involved with sprucing up Wanstead Community Allotments next week? Yes, you say? Well sign up for the run and task here
