I had to vary the snack to go with the tea for today’s social visit to see M, but she was more than happy with the gingerbread people that I took.

We chatted about Music Hall and Variety too - she’d seen several of the artists on the bill from what is now Catford Broadway I been writing about earlier in the week.

We could have chatted all afternoon but, alas I had to get back to work.
