It was a morning of re-using things. An elderly friend wanted us to take away an old rusty wheelbarrow for her, seeing it was still quite serviceable we commandeered it to transport the old compost from the Hainault Station planters to the SHP allotment. Yes @Julia we did check the planters under the bridge and are pleased to report they had been recently watered so we gave a bemused Station Master a cheery wave and trundled off with our booty.

On arrival at the allotment Ed off loaded our kitchen waste to be re-purposed into compost and then went on to do some watering while Linda off loaded the old compost from the Station into the planter we are preparing for a herb garden. There was not quite enough to finish the top layer but that can always be filled later. The wheelbarrow still has some life left in it and we are storing it for a project of Julia's.

Still no signs of the seeds that were planted the other week but you can tell the weather has been good for plants as the dreaded bind weed is making an appearance again 🙄 The good news is the potatoes are doing really well and possibly due for harvesting.

Todays furry creature encounter a little cat surveying its territory.
